Dorrigo to Yuraygir
20 January 2014
Left Dorrigo National Park after walking to the waterfalls in the morning
— I sighted no dragonflies, but it was a coolish morning and rainforest species are less abundant.
By the afternoon I made it to Yuraygir National Park.
Unfortunately the two large lakes that interested me are part of the local water supply and entry was prohibited
so I got stuck at a little "puddle" beside the road.
I did however see some interesting species, including a Rosy Skimmer Orthetrum migratum
, which are rare in NSW.
Another species I saw, which I thought was interesting at the time but probably just a variation of something I'd seen before,
turned out to be Blue Slim damselfly Aciagrion fragile
, a new species for me.
