Queensland Day 17

8 April 2013

While walking in the rainforest around Barron Falls I came across a large damselfly that, with some help, has been identified as aTreehole Flatwing damselflyPodopteryx selysi. Identification was somewhat hampered by the lack of available photos showing the distinctive patterns on the thorax. Interestingly they apparently breed in water-filled tree-holes in rainforests.
