North-West Victoria - Day 3
23 October 2011
Lots of driving again today and we headed into Wyperfeld National Park looking for more orchids.
We searched an area that supposedly had about a dozen cages five years ago but we only found about
6 or 7 cages and only one had an orchid in it (and a bud at that).
In the afternoon I went around looking for things and by a dam I found some
Inland Rintail damselflies Austrolestes aridus,
a species I had only seen for the first time last year.
In the evening I saw a couple of frogs on the rode near Beulah
— I've since been able to identify them as Limnodynastes dumerili: Eastern Banjo Frog or Pobblebonk.
