We started searching for orchids in Little Desert National Park but on the outward loop we found less than we thought we might find.
There were a few sun-orchids scattered about but they were all closed due to the cold.
Later in the morning's search I got to see Pterostylis
planulata/Oligochaetochilus planulatus, which I don't think I'd seen before.
The afternoon session yielded fewer orchids and it all looked very dry.
After the official search some of us headed to Broken Bucket (about an hour north), which is normally supposed to be good for orchids
but once again it was very dry and there was really only
Oligochaetochilus pusillus in flower.
