Climbed the mountain with the orchid group and found several species but
the Prasophyllum alpestre weren't out properly and only a very few Thelymitra cyanea were out.
These sun orchids were only a day or two away from being spectacular.
To make up for it there were plenty of butterflies, including several Macleay's Swallowtails,
an Orchard Swallowtail (generally fairly rare in Victoria) and several Lesser Wanderers
(this latter species is the only one I got half decent photos of).
At the end of the day I was guided to an interesting site that still had some Elbow Orchids out,
though we had to fight off the stinging flies.
