19 Dragonflies in Bunyip State Park

I had an interesting day today — was looking for orchids and dragonflies. Saw very little of the first but many of the last; 19 species to be exact. This includes a new species for me, Swamp Bluet Coenagrion lyelli, which is listed as "Near Threatened" by the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment (2009) Advisory List of Threatened Invertebrate Fauna in Victoria - 2009.

  6. Eastern Swamp Emerald (Procordulia jacksoniensis)
  7. Blue-spotted Hawker (Aeshna brevistyla)
  8. Southern Evening Darner (Telephlebia brevicauda)
