Today was quite an interesting day.
I wanted to visit a sight in Bunyip State Park early in the dragonfly season to see what was about.
Quite a lot actually, I saw 12 species there, including many more Nannophya dalei than I had ever seen before.
I spent a lot of time trying to photograph them leaving me little time to look for orchids in the area.
The next site I wanted to visit was a waterfall near Noojee to look for the Austropetalia tonyana,
which tend to congregate around such features.
I was amazed with the number I saw, however not so happy with most of my photos
as I had to use flash when it was too dark and these didn't turn out too well.
The dragonflies were however quite accommodating,
first one allowed me to put my hand behind it then one landed on my trigger finger
(making it hard to photograph).
A couple then perched on my left hand and posed nicely for me.
