Having had a lot of fun on a week-long trip to east Gippsland a couple of weeks ago
I thought I'd try my luck in south Gippsland and Wilsons Promontory.
I went through Wonthaggi but didn't see much of interest,
but at the info centre I did find a park not on
Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve.
This is just a small reserve with nowhere to go from the picnic area
but I did read about Turtons Creek Reserve apparently 20km north-west of Foster.
After searching on a map I eventually found it north of Foster (almost due north actually)
and decided to try that place out for the night as it had a camp ground.
It was quite a pleasant place, though small and squashed between farmland.
