Warburton

2 December 2007

I wanted to return to the Warburton area and try to get some good shots of the Alpine Redspot dragonfly Austropetalia tonyana, having my first sighting of them 3 weeks prior. Luckily they were around again, but once more only late in the day and I had to use flash for most of my photos (which means they don't look so good). If you only knew what I had to go through to get these photos. I ended up bruised, bleeding and soaking by the end of it all; partly due to the inappropriate footwear I had on and the terrain in which these dragonflies are to be found.
