Beaconsfield

Another organized visit to Beaconsfield Reservoir to mainly do some orchid monitoring. Previous visits were with ANOS on 12th May and 19th June. We found some interesting greenhood leaves; I'm looking forward to the next visit in about 4 weeks. Afterwards we visited a hill in Beaconsfield and were astounded by the number of Nodding Greenhoods, Pterostylis nutans. With a lot of new houses around the tiny hill reserve, as well as weed invasion like Bridal Creeper, they will unfortunately be stressed into obscurity.
