A quick visit to this area. I saw quite a few dragonflies but wasn't able to photograph much considering. They all seemed a bit jumpy and wouldn't let me approach them.

Saw interesting flies as well, but the only one I was able to photograph well was the one that landed on my foot — so apologies for the background odour. :)

Another interesting thin I saw was this little tower of dirt. At first I thought it was just an ant nest that had been built up as a bit of flood protection. As I was taking photos a wasp emerged with a dollop of mud and added to the construction. So I waited until it emerged again.
