Most of these photos were taken around Sale, in Gippsland.
I spent the morning exploring the "Game Reserve", mainly for dragonflies, to the east of Sale.
The previous day was spent mainly looking for orchids.
The Diplacodes melanopsis was a new species for me, always good to get something new.
I was lucky in that I was early enough in the day for this one to still be a little lethargic.
The second dragonfly I got good photos of was the Orthetrum caledonicum.
I was crouched down beside it with my camera and it was making sorties trying to catch the flies around me.
Unfortunately it didn't catch any.
I found the young Blue-tongue Lizard in the middle of the road.
It posed nicely for me but I was thinking perhaps I should have removed it.
Fortunately I came back the same way an hour later and it was gone.
