Buffy from ScribblyGum
posted some photos of some huge mushrooms she has near her property.
I had seen some large ones in Lysterfield Park
several years ago and wanted to return to see if I could photograph them this year.
I found over a dozen, though not nearly as big as buffy's — my largest find measured a little over 40cm across.
I believe these are a Phlebopus species too.
There was quite a variety of fungus out in Sherbrooke Forest.
I also saw three lyrebirds close to the track and a Swamp Wallaby Wallabia bicolor on the track.
